We are thrilled to announce that Exploration of Musculoskeletal Diseases (EMD) was showcased at the insightful conference "Hip Problems in Cerebral Palsy: From Surveillance to Salvage", hosted by the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital.
Held on November 9-10, 2024, in Shenzhen City, China, this conference brought together leading pediatric orthopedic experts from around the world to share their extensive experience in managing hip problems in cerebral palsy. Well-known pediatric orthopedic experts, including Prof. Ashok N Johari, Dr. Peter Smith and Dr. Michael D. Aiona, participated in the conference.
Our esteemed guest editor Prof. Ashok N Johari, the president of the International Federation of Paediatric Orthopaedic Societies, took an active role in promoting EMD and his newly launched special issue “Innovation in Orthopedics” for EMD. During the conference, Prof. Johari distributed promotional flyers of EMD, sparking interest among participants, and providing them with an opportunity to know EMD as a potential journal in musculoskeletal research. In addition, Prof. Johari also highlighted his special issue during his presentation. He introduced the special issue’s topic, keywords, and shared submission benefits. Participants were warmly invited to contribute their research to this innovative issue. These efforts have enhanced the journal’s visibility, contributing to its growth and strengthening its presence in the academic community.
As we continue to grow and evolve, EMD remains committed to fostering collaboration and disseminating groundbreaking research. We look forward to receiving contributions from global researchers and advancing the frontiers of musculoskeletal science together.
At the 2023 General Meeting of the Basque Society for Rheumatology, our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Fernando Perez-Ruiz, introduced Exploration of Musculoskeletal Diseases (EMD). In a concise introduction, Prof. Perez-Ruiz highlighted the journal's mission and vision, emphasizing our commitment to advancing musculoskeletal research. He also noted our major progress achieved, such as obtaining the ISSN number, including 38 excellent experts in the Editorial Board, and launching 10 special issues, etc. At the same time, before January 31, 2028, we will waive APC fees for all authors to encourage the submission of high-quality manuscripts.
The presentation has opened doors for us, and we are eager to involve more individuals in promoting the journal. We encourage and welcome additional participation in our promotional activities, and we will provide the necessary support.
With increased engagement and support, we believe that the journal will play a more substantial role in advancing the understanding of musculoskeletal diseases.
